David and all,

The following 3-year monthly chart of Apple shows the RSI and volume by price. As one can see, Apple is approaching the area just below 30 for the 3rd time. The first time was a weak reversal in a significant down move. The second was Jobs' onboard announcement, which never established any consolidation at the 28-30 level. The third is now.

This chart shows virtually no resistance until a little in the upper 30's. IMHO, this stock is about to break up and out long-term. It may futz around at this level for a week or so, as options expire and to deal with previous recovery top resistance. However, it is now past most of the major previous volume spikes. Barring a market crash or some other sort of negative news, it now seems to be time for a move. If the stock significantly breaks 30, we are on our way. Where is Andon, today, when I wish to gloat!
