If you are not flaming AREL how do you account for your original post. You sure spent a lot of time and energy building a big bonfire. I think the following post from you speaks for itself. Let's knock it off. With no offence intended, this is taking up a lot of space that others can use to advantage. Those who are interested in determining whether or not you are flaming AREL should take the trouble to read the following post from you, your reply #35.

>>This press release does not involve the Company's iFax/Phone product, but it's good to see other product lines doing well.<< ******** *********
Hi Philip,
I follow DL (distance learning) products closely. I have tried on a couple of occasions to enter into a discussion of the IDEAL product with Arel personnel and have gotten cold shouldered or brushed off, which is/was a new experience for me."
--------------------------------------------------------------------
aside comment from Don Walster: As to whether or not Mr Doell is flaming AREL I think the following comment by Mr Doell says it all. Referring to AREL he has this what he has to say:
-------------------------------------------------------------------
" Their DL product, with the information that I have, sounds like 100s of other DL products currently at market. I have no idea what distinguishes their IDEAL product from others which at first blush appear far superior and proven.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
"I prefer that Arel would get serious about its product description. What initially intrigued me is the potential for integrating the iFax/Phone products with their DL...which appears not to be the case. It also appears that they are insensitive to its potential within their product. If you read what description they have of IDEAL, it is media resource intensive: it wants a TV, a computer, a phone...but they are all independent of one another and not integrated.
The "Why not integrate technologies?" is a valid question IMHO. What good does it do a student to be placing LD calls to the instructor and faxing from the usual computer faxware on another dedicated line all the while monopolizing the home TV for the video component?
All without the multimedia interactive potentials of, for example, CUseeMe (White Pine) or eSchool (ACTV).
I attempted a call to Ms Roberta Lynn (of Arel listed on the PR prior to today's release) last week, and she told me within the first thirty seconds that she had "to get on a plane," so "good by." So why did she bother to answer the phone in the first place?
No..."thanks for calling I look forward to talking with you when I have more time" or "can I call you back?" or "can so and so call you back?" or "call back...", just "good by." It was the most unusual business call I've had in some time.
I speak with IB, CFOs, VPs, IR types every week and don't recall having been spoken to this way...i.e., "don't bother me."
So I turned to Sims Communications which was very easy to talk with, but they knew no specifics about the IDEAL product other than what was in their PR material. Nice people, cooperative, understanding, but not nittygritty informative.
Arel's email contact who wrote me this engaging vapid missive (clearly more concerned with fact of the person's name than the facts of the product) is another paragon of communication skills:
>>Dear Ed,
Please let me correct you; my name is Mor.
I'm the Marketing communications manager of ArelNet, Ltd., which is a subsidiary of Arel Communications and Software, Ltd. (Arel owns 64% of ArelNet).
Arel's direct R&D and marketing activities today are dedicated to the DL business. It's telecommunications and messaging activities, including VoIP, is done through ArelNet only.
Arel is now in the process of developing a new Website that will replace the existing one on www.arel.co.il . Hopefully this new site will clearly explain the unique positioning of Arel and will provide much more detailed information about its DL activities.
Hope I could be of some help.

Dear Mora, I received your email address from an SI post. I am very interested in Arel, particularly aspects of its DL product currently marketed in the US. I am puzzled by what appears to be a lack of integration of the various technologies available for DL, such as VoIP and other internet related technologies, and what I understand IDEAL offers. I would appreciate discussing these matters. I am a small investor who typically takes a 10,000 to 20,000 share position in companies which meet my investment criteria. My phone number during US market hours in the US is ####. There appears to be a paucity of information available for serious consideration. Any help you might have to offer would be appreciated.
Ed
So Philip,
Though it appears that the stock is followed by enough people to string 89K shares together for a substantial intraday rise, I do not know what to make of the Arel personnel or its DL product.
I have come to three tentative conclusions:
the personnel at Arel whom I have contacted do not know the information I have requested or are not authorized to discuss the product and are unwilling to say so, the personnel at Arel whom I have contacted lack social and business communication skills to satisfy a reasonably large share holder, the TVOntario news release is vaporish-ware in that a "pilot program" is just that and they don't wish to get too specific until they do a full test run and work out the bugs.
BTW, IMHO the MMs which "make" the "market" in ARLCF are clearly brutal with their spreads and price moves on tiny volume.
