Yes, while I have for a long time suggested Borland would be an excellent target, I have also for a long time complained of these unfounded rumors, which is precisely what we have. While I think the validity of Borland as a suitable target exists, I think the guy posting on Yahoo! may be correct -- we simply have to see what the VSGN deal does to earnings (and, more importantly, what the OPERATING EPS is). I hesitate to get too excited about this little runup, after rejoicing when Borland hit 12 only to watch my Jan 10s expire worthless.

Honestly, I have gotten a little bored with Borland, even though I know it will come around eventually. I've followed this stock since the days of Sidekick for DOS; but the last year has been the most frustrating I've seen....

Market figures to be minus 80+ at the opening.

Good for BORL if it holds today's close.
