Some thoughts.... On Russian precious metals - read somewhere that Yeltsin sold everything (including the kitchen sink) to get elected again. This maybe fairly accurate as they have not been able to meet commitments on delivery of platinum and palladium for over a year. Not being able to pay the miners doesn't help productivity either. On new CPI figures - must be expecting even higher inflation than is currently not being reported. I think they should use my paycheck as a guideline and determine how many fewer golf games I can afford each year after paying out all the hidden taxes etc. - Jim.
