August, you never have to read all the messages just to catch up on a thread. I used to try to do that, and spent too way much time at the computer. Let me briefly summarize for you. We have been talking about the Shroud of Turin, religion and atheism and agnosticism, the possibility of Jesus being cloned, the U.N., whether Bilbo is alive or dead (as usual), and spanking children and child abuse. Tom Simpson has his own new thread, on very short story writing (50 words or less). I am sure I forgot something, but this has been the basic tenor of the day. Unless one of these subjects is immensely interesting to you, in more gory detail (well, be sure to check out Tom's thread, at least), then you can just start right from here. Congratulations!!!
