Garth - You're right, I did omit the buses from the commercialization schedule. However, I do recall Paul Lancaster saying that Ballard would be focussing a lot of attention on portable applications in 1998. I suspect that Ballard are very eager to get some product on the market, and so are we as shareholders.
The following excerpt from a recent Financial Post article very clearly suggests that Ballard is taking steps to add another dimension to their organization. In addition to being a R&D company, they want to become a "Product" company. That's why I think we are going to see some product lines developing very soon.

...ÿRasul says the other great challenge facing Ballard as it enters corporate adulthood is moving from being a strictly research and development organization to a commercial company. "Once commercialized technology has been developed, the type of people you need changes and skill set and management experience you require evolves," he adds, suggesting that management needs to stay "one step ahead of where we want to be" in order to keep on top of this change.
ÿ"It is not just trying to integrate additional people - but experiencing growth in areas where we haven't had people. We need to think more like a product company - and that is a challenge"
