B.D.: Re Denver Business J., I made the original connection and got Scott's office and a DBJ reporter talking to each other prior to the shareholder's meeting. Someone in Scott's office spent quite a bit of time following up. The reporter liked TAVA and was glad to cover the company, but the Journal has various policies that govern what stories get printed. The reporter doesn't call the shots. The editor does. The reporter can't even cover a company until the editor makes the assignment. As a weekly, DBJ has to position itself as offering something the daily doesn't. Just some more insight into the difficulties young companies have in getting space in the media.
