Going Bankrupt? Not so fast..... bankrate.com What I find interesting is the bill's assumption that increased bankruptcy (20% growth) is the result of easy bankruptcy laws as opposed to some feature of the economy. While I agree bankruptcy is too easy, the same laws have existed for some time now. And shouldn't credit card lenders take a bit of the blame. Why not tighten credit a bit? Naaaa..... IMO tighter bankrutpcy laws and other factors make it much more likley social unrest will result in the event of the downturn many of us bears are expecting.
