ski,

"The 2nd phase of service introduction, Bell Canada chose Alcatel to supply Digital
Subscriber Line Access Multiplexers."

seems to be the pattern with westell (in trials but lost opportunities in deployment). i was hoping for some wins in this catagory, gte was a big dissapointment, bc another. suspect this is one of the reasons siemans was cut loose. he just didn't get it with dmt and didn't get it with direction of company. wstl still seems to have upperhand in deployment with ba so i'm still long and hoping they can come thru later this yr. and next as dsl heat up.

skiawal--

glad to see faber is on top of things since the deal was announced last fall (during september i think). at any rate some one has said over on the yahoo board that BC is very dissatisfied with ALA, and may move to to WSTL dslams. of course, no one knows if the damn things are available. why has the company been so tight lipped about it?

mike-- good call on the TDFX. wish i had bought some.

good luck to all,
trey
