Moonray...thanx for the BRCM info., I've followed them, but not real close. IMHO the thread would benefit greatly if more focus were placed on following the development of xDSL. xDSL...ADSL in particular, is now at the threshold of the marketplace. xDSL will be deployed in a subdued fashion over time, unlike the rollout of 56K technology.

If I were to start shopping for a 56K modem for a future purchase...I'd want one which is upgradable to xDSL. Modems do, after all...contribute to 3Com's bottom line. <g>

Bid has been as high as 65 on BRCM and just about to open. Joe on CNBC is reporting now that it may have just opened at 62.

Not bad after they boosted it again to 24 from the previously reported 18 at the offering.
