Hello my good friends Mohan and Zeev and all of you.

It is raining, a beautiful light spring warm rain here in upper New York today. The daffodils are out. My herd of 20 to 30 more or less tame deer have just rambled down past my jet green field towards the stream. The hundred year old maples have new soft green leaves..

Maybe this is more important than the condition we are in. As one of the resident bears here on this foruum... let me post you two urls which seem relevant at the moment.

economist.com

aci.net

The later site is quite something!

Altogether, if I may offer an opinion, in the longer term the US and the promise of a new "place" in the meritocracy of information on the internet, we are in much better shape than most other places Zeev. That is because, somehow you can see this on this thread with our mix of opinions and ethnicity, we are the newest country. We are the promise of the future. We have a population that is multi ethnic, multi lingual... the mix of the new millenium.

My best,

Mohan, a correction to 8250 is in my opinion quite bullish (remember to compare this number to the big kahuna numbers floating around). Long term, I am quite bullish. This for two reasons, I still think that over the next twenty years we are going to double the number of "consumers" in the world, and liquidity from the Japanese big bang will flood our markets as well as Europe's.
