Those charts of the DJ 1929 & HK 1997 were done on a Bloomberg terminal at my job. I wish I could have posted them here and don't know of a site that has historical charts for foreign and US markets. Hopefully someone here will post a site.

Hank--This might help on overseas charts.
Most extensive overseas site I know of. The data available varies from country to country though and some of it is too raw to be useful at least for me. I speak a little Spanish and Swedish but no German, Japanese or Ukrainian.
