JP,

You know, as well as everyone else on this thread, that the initial price offering of a new chip is quickly followed by various price reductions as the yield increases and R&D costs are written off. It is unfair to compare the cost of cutting edge technology to technology that is farther 'down the curve'!

If you are interested, I think that I could 'round up' some Intel 4004 chips for your next computer! Oh, heck, why not just go back to the typewriter and snail mail? (Just kidding!)

Regards,

Ken
