I've heard speculation that BAY held back sales when they knew they'd miss this qtr in order to pack them into next qtr. This is what I think:

BAY did hold back order, but they were channel orders. I don't think the plan was to push them into this qtr. If business is good this qtr, keeping the channel inventory low last qtr will definitely be an added kicker, but don't think they pushed any real sales out.

In the conference call they did say that sales from the channel to customer were pretty good last qtr, even compared with the Dec qtr. The Dec qtr was so strong because they had significanlty higher sales into the channel compared to this qtr, when they asked the channel to hold up orders. Good to see product moving well through the channel.

Anyway, BAY has held up nicely this morning. I think we've pretty much seen the bottom. With $5 in cash, BAY is basically trading for $15/sh. I think that's a decent value.
