Trading in Bulletin Board stocks can also be a real problem with AMTD. For one thing, the $8 rule no longer applies because the symbols aren't registered in their online or touchtone systems. Now your up to $18 smackeroos each way since you need to do a broker assisted trade. As if that 's not frustrating enough, you're often on hold for a broker for about 5-10 minutes. I think it's great that they're busy, but either they should update their automated systems to accommodate BB stocks or hire more help. I opt for the former. On the other hand, I have been happy with their executions, once they ARE posted.
