Jamie,

Point well taken. I used to fear large short positions, because I thought they might know something I don't. I still watch them carefully, but know that they are a market mechanism that is a two-edged knife, more likely to cut the shorters, who have less time to do due diligence than do we long term investors(because declines traditionally happen at more than twice the rate of advances). Should a short squeeze actually develop in this stock, the price could spike though, with a short term downside to follow while the more stubborn of the short losers attempt to re-short and recoup their losses. That's where I think the "rubber hits the road" with combined profit taking by some longs added to the short recoup attempt. There might be some trading profits in there for all of us, at the expense of the shorts, if we're very alert, nimble, and well-advised.

Good Hunting!
