Naaah, not in, still waiting for the $20 IPO.<g>

RE: BRCM I see it's at 66+ at the moment. Are you in? <g>

CNBC said it was sold out 30x over. Where is all this money coming
from? Is the American/Foreign public printing their own?
Am I the only one paying taxes this week? <g>

I LIKE THE WAY LSI IS ACTING. Still looks like it is setting up
for a big move up. If the Dow/Naz does not take a tumble before
the Aug 14 contest end, 67 MAY not be impossible. With 2 earnings
anouncements between here and then, it depends a lot on Corrigan
forward looking statements.

Hi E!

Like a bad penny I'm back. The weather in these parts has been way too good to concern myself with stocks and such. When working out my tax return I realized that my returns last year, in spite of the Oct. fiasco, were well into triple digit territory, so I said schrudamundo - I am taking a more passive view of my investments. I'll let you guys worry about the day to day stuff - I'm not any good at predicting these short term things anyway.

Sometime ago I made the case of the 2 LSIs. Here's official stats that bear that analysis out.

techweb.com
The top 10 standard-cell suppliers include some familiar ASIC names. At
number one is Lucent, which increased sales 30% in 1997, to about $1.25
billion. IBM boosted sales 31%, to $1.05 billion; and NEC posted a similar
sales hike to $900 million. LSI Logic was fourth with a 42% gain to $700
million.

----

Using these numbers you'll see that the gate-array business for LSI absolutely plunged. Like it did for other companies. Not concerned - this is not where the fat margins are.
