AVEI the strange action helped me out, since I got out of AVEI yesterday.. all in all a strange 3 days for the stock.. Up three points on Wednesday, Down 2 1/2 points yesterday and up 4 points this morning. I never intended to buy it at all but AVEI is a very volatile, but very good trading stock. Best way to play would have been to hold it from Wednesday through the earnings and sell this morning, although I didn't do that.

Tom, I surmised that options expiry made be holding AVEI down so that the most puts and calls would expire worthless, that AVEI may close near 37 1/2 which it did. However, the stock did not trade as expected given major blowout earnings ... and with over 9 million shares traded it barely budged. When one can't tell what's going on, it's wise to pass on the trade.

On the other hand, VISX traded as expected. Up big on blowout earnings with carry-thru momentum the next day.
