I believe we will never see intel at $60 per share unless it goes up to 120 then split. i believe INTC will linger around 70-80 range until market realize that INTC is under valued compared to rest of the tech stocks. Within 1 month.(INTC has better chance reaching 100 than dropping to 60.) I can not believe some people are actually comparing AMD stocks to INTC. hack i wouldn't be surprised at all if AMD file for chapter 11 2years from now. They have yet to make a profit and i don't think they will for a while.
PS- I am not sure but didn't DEC sold Alpha chip Technology to INTC around year ago?

Barry,
I suspect that if quarter 2 is the last "weak" one that it will be anticipated long before the earnings report. With some general weakness in the market I can see Intel in the 60's but I also suspect, as I have suspected, that the 67-70 area would hold. If that corresponds with the correct time frame that may well be the buying opportunity we are looking for.
As far as the DOJ...that's the wild card. The DOJ, may in fact, provide the catalyst to get Intel into the 60's.

All, Don't be so preoccupied with Kurlak. When he gets his price he will go long. In the mean time he might provide some buying opportunities.

Jim

Barry, last April you said:
"I don't think so; my impression is that even Intel thinks that the 2nd quarter will be the "bottom", that is, worse than the 1st quarter. So the bad news won't all be out until at least July (2nd quarter earnings report). And there is always the possiblity of DOJ action, although my gut is that:

A. Intel hasn't done much wrong to begin with
B. They are preoccupied with Microsoft

I still think that the bottom will be in the 60's (although probably not all the way down TO 60)"
+++++++++++++++++++++

I would say you were exactly right then and later you said you would get back in, did you and at what price?
