I, too, hope that Joe Murphy will resume posting (even
if just to tell us why he's not posting) after he finishes
addressing the envelopes and licking the stamps for
the newsletter mailing. Joe's silence is not doing anyone
any good except for the shorts and maybe the attorneys.

My thoughts exactly, George. You abandon a ship that is sinking.
One or two pirates a ship do not make (but I'm beginning to wonder).

After watching this stock get sucked up and ripped to shreds by
a series of tyrannical twisters and malicious makers (take it any
way you want), old and new investors alike are probably scared stiff
by this exodus.

That in turn makes for nervous fingers, and we know what those
appendages can do. Who's hurting whom?

DAMIEN must be basking in the light of eternal darkness, occasionally
strolling in his beloved quagmire, contemplating...thinking life is good.

Bob

George,

Regarding your comment: "Seriously (if that's possible) for everyone close to this issue to just up and leave this thread does not bode well with me"

Although several people have left the thread, at least temporarily, I seriously doubt if any of the people "close to this issue" have walked away from a single share of DCI stock.

I know I haven't, have no plans to, and will buy more if and when I can -- even though I too am down about 40% [since I managed to "average up" during our November run :-( ].

Personally, several things contributed to me posting less: (1) I got turned off because I feel during at least Jan.-Feb. this forum had been used in a manipulative manner by one or more people (who shall remain unnamed); (2) I don't like to see people's integrity publicly impugned on a board like this; (3) I don't like to see people publicly ridiculed (sometimes even for asking legitimate questions); and (4) I don't like to see people throwing temper tantrums.

So, basically, I didn't like what I considered to be manipulation a while back and I got tired of the totally unnecessary negativity that seemed to begin to "blossom" a couple of weeks ago. The negativity -- coupled with the fact the stock price hasn't been anything to write home about -- has made it easier to take the less emotionally exhausting route of just staying away.

Now if you could just boot your little sidekick (yeah, that one) once and for all so we could get the stock price out of the doldrums, I'd bet moods would start to improve and we'd probably start seeing signs of "the old thread" begin to reappear again (!). Personally, I think this will happen when we see our Q4 results and/or start seeing closure on one or more of our LOIs (if not before).

Again -- and of course just take it as my opinion only but -- I'd be extremely surprised if any of the "long timers" have walked away from one single share! I'd also be surprised if any of them has let a single word on this thread go unread (g).

Dan

Note: Per one of my last posts, did you ever check that holy water to see if it was "certified", e.g., it didn't come out of an Evian bottle did it? (I bet Damien knows what that word spelled backwards means).

Hi George,
There certainly must be a valid reason why our CEO has been urged to stay off the DCTC thread here on S.I. Possibly that is also why some other posters are also not here ????
Might I suggest that you try to contact Mr. Murphy by phone or maybe use the DCITel@aol.com email I.D. Toni
p.s. Glad you still have Damien at bay. Also I sure would appreciate it, if you post any info you may gather. Thanks agian.

George, I enjoy your posts and your wit normally, but I don't really understand this post you put up. You say you are feeling concerned about DCTC because some people have left the BB, you are down 40% and Joe Murphy is not currently posting on this BB at present??? To me, none of those issues have any real bearing on the evaluation of my investment in DCTC, nor in my comfort level. Sure the drop in DCTC bothers me too, my life savings are in the sucker but that is not to me a reason to consider selling. The questions I tend to ask myself when I feel concerns are more like: "Given a worst case scenario, what is the least I could imagine Joe would get for DCI for if he were to sell it TODAY??" (And to anyone that get's a number that is less than $1.37, please ask the teacher to help you with your math. (G)) The way I see it, barring an unforseen disaster, there is no way any of us will be hurt long term (well short of a having a heart attack that is. (G)) through buying or holding shares at this level. As to why Joe Murphy is not posting? I give you my personal hunches.

1. He truly is busy and does not have the time to spare right now.

2. Consider a fundamental change that has occurred, the company is now using debt for M/A's now, not stock. The stocks performance is certanily important to DCI and it's the winning ticket at the end game but it's value no longer crucial to moving forward with M/A's. While I am sure that Joe's shareholder concerns remain the same, he probably feels he can help his shareholders more by spending his energies building this company.

3. It's great having Joe on the BB, I have enjoyed reading those posts, but right now there are a lot of things going on that he just can't talk about. What if, while posting he said something or alluded to something that ended up causing problems in some deal he is working on? The benefit just does not warrant the gain IMO.

James
