JP,

That IS the ANSWER! When the computer is doing something, it does it as fast as possible. While I was working for IBM, there was a WAIT light that came on whenever the computer was in the wait loop! This light was on MOST OF THE TIME with the exception being the computational loop! There was a change made so that the customer didn't get charged for wait loop!

These machines were slower that the one on your desk!

In the background now, I see my computer performing self checks, and optimizing my disk operating system, with little effect on what I am doing. Sometimes my display is a few characters behind, but that is all. A faster computer might eliminate this.

Regards,

Ken
