Whatever happens, Wall Street won't be looking our way for quite some time. Look how long it took them to start recommending AOL.
They are usually the tail on the dog. If this link with FNTN speeds up the process to get them visibility, let it be. It sure sounds goood. We will see.

Hi Malcolm et all: Given the exponential rise in volume over the last 9 trading days, ie. from absolute quiet 1000 on 4/7 to almost half a million so far today, I would have to surmise that the availablity of any more stock at these levels is rapidly drying up.

Is this potentially bullish volume profile going to be transferred into an exponential rise in the stock? Very possibly the answer is yes. I continue to hear good things emanating that some positive surprises may be in store and we can expect a string of announcements in the coming week(s). Maybe they just put this one out today to wet our whistles, so to speak.

It appears to me as if the dynamics surrounding the increasing turnover in the stock suggests that such a concerted effort to accumulate all possible shars at these low levels would indicate that those buying are expecting much higher levels and a different behavioral pattern than we've seen in the past.

The technicals strongly support this. I am willing to bet that we will traverse the 30's in a rush higher once we break through the resistance levels that have recently held things back. Once this new megatrend begins in earnest, the power base building of the last nine months or should drive prices substantially higher. My feeling is that the news and fundamentals will not only support this move but will actually help to propel it.

Remember, we are in an environment where anything remotely related to the Internet will be scooped up in New York minute if the hint of a big run is imminent. This is a company that has been positioning itself now for almost two years for what is about to become a very dynamic must have growth area. In other words it's going to be hot.

A few days ago, I was looking at Netscape languishing in the teens and was thinking to myself, this won't last much longer, somebody is going to pounce on this baby. I feel exactly the same way about FNTN. The new players zeroing in on this one are going to ensure the word gets out and soon.

By the way, there was a nice article on FNTN in the Mutual Fund Market news entitled: "Smile you're on video" that outlined FNTN's services very effectively. May spark some Mutual Fund buying interest.

Have a great weekend

Rgds

Hi Malcolm,
Well I guess this announcement was a bit of a moral and spirit booster from the silence they had kept for a long time.

From the messages on this thread I can tell that everybody's hanging on this piece of bone FNTN has thrown in our way, which was supposed to be the awaited big announcement.

Being a skeptic and a bit suspicious by nature, and probably was expecting more than what we got from the announcement, I sort of had the following thoughts about this confusing announcement.

"ANNOUNCED TODAY THAT NEGOTIATIONS ARE IN PROGRESS TO RETAIN AN INVESTMENT BANKING FIRM."

RETAIN - do they mean they had this firm and now are begging this bank to stick with them?

"THE INVESTMENT BANKING FIRM WILL PROVIDE THE COMPANY WITH ACQUISITION OR MERGER OPPORTUNITIES SUCH AS THOSE SPECIFICALLY RELATED TO THE INTERNET, INTRANETS AND PROPRIETARY SOFTWARE RELATING TO THIS FIELD, SUCH AS ADVANCED SEARCH ENGINE CAPABILITIES.

THE INVESTMENT-BANKING FIRM WILL ADVISE AND ASSIST WITH ANY SUCH ACQUISITIONS OR MERGER OPPORTUNITIES, AS WELL AS PROVIDE THE NECESSARY CAPITAL FOR FINANCIAL INTRANET INC. TO PURSUE THESE OPPORTUNITIES AND ACHIEVE NASDAQ SMALL CAP STATUS."

What acquisitions and merger opportunities? Who are they looking to acquire with their current status? Merger, maybe, being bought probably.

This to me means that the company is looking for cash to survive and they will have this firm monitoring their activities and telling them where and how to spend the money.

It also tells me that FNTN with its current financial status will not achieve Nasdaq Small Cap status, unless, this investment bank agrees to support them.

" MICHAEL SHEPPARD, PRESIDENT OF FINANCIAL INTRANET, SAID, ''WE ARE HOPEFUL WE CAN FINALIZE OUR RELATIONSHIP WITHIN A MATTER OF DAYS. WE EXPECT THE DEVELOPMENT OF THIS ASSOCIATION WILL SIGNIFICANTLY ENHANCE SHAREHOLDER VALUE AND ACCELERATE THE COMPANY'S RAPID RISE TO THE NEXT LEVEL OF ITS EVOLUTION AS A STRATEGIC INTERNET AND INTRANET MARKET PRESENCE. IN ADDITION TO THE PROVISION OF PROPRIETARY FINANCIAL CONTENT, NEWS AND INFORMATION, FINANCIAL INTRANET WILL OFFER COMPLETE INTRANET SOLUTIONS TAILORED PRECISELY TO EACH CUSTOMER'S REQUIREMENTS.'' "

What if this deal does not finalize. He is only HOPEFUL!! and within days (30, 60, 100, 200 or 365 ?)

He is damn right about "SIGNIFICANTLY ENHANCE SHAREHOLDER VALUE" because they have done nothing so far to achieve that and it looks they will not without the help of this firm.

What about spending some money for a PR firm instead of Michael Sheppard answering all the calls.

Apart from the above negative thoughts that came to my mind, it looks like they have the right literature to support their ideas in saying "ACCELERATE THE COMPANY'S RAPID RISE TO THE NEXT LEVEL OF ITS EVOLUTION AS A STRATEGIC INTERNET AND INTRANET MARKET PRESENCE" and
"WILL OFFER COMPLETE INTRANET SOLUTIONS TAILORED PRECISELY TO EACH CUSTOMER'S REQUIREMENTS." in addition to the wide market spectrum that could make use of their services.

One more thing looks to be going for them VOLUMES, almost 1/2 a million shares traded yesterday. Price went up only 2 cents.

I guess people are waiting for the next announcement which need to be solid and have strong statements in terms of:
- Achievements so far - financially
- New business acquired and on the way
- Forecasts for this year - on target/better than announced/ or ?
- WEB site
- NASDAQ status
- More marketing and creation of awareness.

My feeling is that if they deliver half of what they are planning to do, this baby could be so hot that will play in the $30 - $50 game.

The market these days is mostly based on speculations and investors are not looking for short term profits (i.e. AMAZON, EXCITE, CDNOW) just tell your story, get few sizable accounts and have a solid financial backing and you're on for a big vertical ride (UP of course).

Well, these are my humble and boring thoughts, I did not, however, wanted to spoil the party.

Good luck guys.
