LOD, what really bothers me is that the bears seem to be trying to rationalize their decisions. For example, suppose Lucretius is right about some local suppliers in Austin getting orders cut back. At the same time we hear from Rosemary that JBIL has just gotten some sizeable orders fro Dell. To my mind the most reasonable explanation for this is a realignment of suppliers, but even it portended some weakness in the market, none of this points to a long-term problem.

Regardless of what Dell does, Jim Patterson has a negative interpretation. I had a fantasy that if Dell were to report $.60 this quarter there would be some bear out there telling us this was negative because it obviously means that they are stealing sales from the quarter after, and since we may have disinflation, that money would be worth less than the profits earned the following quarter. And so it goes discussing thing with Dell bears.
