** OT **

Can anyone help me understand the big/ask of these OTC quotes? They are sometimes strange. For example, just now Apple was bid 10 and ask 30 at 27 15/16 on both sides for about 5 min while trades continued at that level. Other times, the bid or ask sits at 10 lots while many many shares trade around it. Is there anywhere one can link to find out what these lot sizes really mean? TIA

Sam

Apple picking up a bit towards close, as expected. Closing above $28 would be pretty bullish. We'll see. Volume seems a little lighter today than I expected, but then again, we've got time for another million, I suppose.

Off-topic: Datek rules. Been using them for heavy (at times) trading for just over a year. Today I got executions in three and four seconds, respectively. Add in the free real-time quotes and the extremely low 7% margin interest, plus the fact that one's account is updated real-time and it is a pretty sweet deal. There are problems with the service at times, but they are rare. Also, TheStreet.Com survey about online brokers during the Oct. crash rated Datek very highly. In any case, I recommend having two accounts. I use DLJ for my other one.

Off-topic: Airborne Express. My friend had a check overnighted to her which she was to then overnight to Datek. Airborne claimed they couldn't find her house though a neighbor saw the truck right across the street. Airborne returned the check to sender. By the time she got the check and then sent it to Datek, the stock she was to buy had gone up 10%. She's not happy.

Irish Paddy; I live in Canada. The North and the South of Eire, the Clintons and the Coys, the Arabs and the Jews the Basques and Spain.

People outside cannot see it and the insiders are all so polarized that if you took away the conflict they would fall over they have been leadning so hard against that wall for so long.

There is no doubt the English invaded and occupied Ireland, as did the Normans to England, and then what about the celts?. How far back do you go?. In a way you need to grab all the kids at birth and re-educate them and let the generations pass away, as the hate is passed from Father to son, from mother to daughter, if you have even seen the squadrons of children sent out to stone the Catholics/protestants/british soldiers/arabs/jews.... insert name here.
Those kids sit at their parents knee and get taught all that crap.

In a way you should take the soldiers out and let nature take it's course...but that is so inhumane, so you have another inhumane solution.

I think this is why old tribes simply annihilated the men, adopted the kids and impregnated the women to shift they group by absorption.Lions do it, kill the males and all the cubs and breed the females.
Education can also do it. Both the north and south have very low educational levels. Most leave school at 14(the legal age to leave) in the UK and Eire, and then it is just mob education. They should try mandatory education to 16 and try to get a far higher ratio to go to College. In UK/EIRE a few % make it through college. US I think 28% with about 75-80% graduate from high school. (any Americans please correct) Strangely enough the UK education system is better in quality, as the average 14 year old in the UK/EIRE is1-2 years ahead of the same US/Canada student. Of course local history varies greatly, but in math, chemistry, physice, English the UK/EIRE are far ahead. Then they all drop out and 5% go on to university.

Education and breaking the father/son transmission is the key. After they have seen Paris, how do you keep them down on the farm?
