On the issue of percentage revenue from shared media products. Surely this is relative to Bay's competitors. Does anyone have an idea of the percentage of 3Com revenue coming from shared media once you take out NICs and client modems?

It's pretty irrelevant making such a comparison against Cisco since they don't ship hubs.

I haven't been watching Bay closely for that long but I can understand why people get frustrated. I cannot see a clear competitive strategy. 3Com are obviously a Cost Leadership company, Cisco have more of a differentiation strategy, Bay to me is wandering.

Still got some good products, some good people and a bunch of customers that like them.

Any thoughts? I've appreciated your insights so far
