The price of the acquiring company goes down on the announcement and it seems to happen all the time. I guess the market thinks that it will be hard or expensive to absorb the operations of the new company and it will adversely affect earnings.
I took a look at the thread on the acquired company and they were complaining that they were not getting enough for their company. So it looks like SE acquired it at a good price.

These guys are very savvy about EDI and e commerce and I have every confidence in them that it was a good purchase and makes the company even bigger, with more capabilities.

Hi David,

I am placing my attention on the prospects of excellent earnings for SE to be announced in May and to the announcement of a large out-sourcing contract,[according to a Merrill Lynch report] to be announced soon.

I have purchased July 30 call options today at 6 5/8 accordingly.

Best wishes,

SPARKLE
