Sig, Nice to hear from you. As I told before in my last post I'm a little obsessed about Y2k. Just a few thoughts; - I absolutely don't want to convince anybody, - I understand that in the last years every once and a while a bear showed up on the thread spreading gloom & doom, - No one single bad word about Dell, - But I can't help it but I'm 100% sure Y2k will have major-impact on the stock-market, - I'm not heavily loaded on puts because I don't know 'when' Y2k will start having impact on the stock- market, - I already unloaded a part of my stocks (about 40%) - When I judge stocks I already include (potential) Y2k-impact, - When the market started not making new tops and the number of Y2k-news becomes more and more front- pagenews I will start buying puts, - Again, I don't ask you to do what I do, I don't ask you to believe me, THE ONLY THING I WAN'T TO ASK YOU, AND ALL THE OTHER MEMBERS OF THIS THREAD (especially the long ones like Rosemary, Judith, Patrick, 3, Greg, Dave, Kemble, Patrick, Paul, Hank, William, Lee, Venkie, etc. Sorry if I forget anyone) TO DO SERIOUS RESEARCH ABOUT Y2K. READ ABOUT IT. AND TAKE IT SERIOUS. WITHOUT ANY DOUBT, THIS IS FOR REAL. IT'S NO HYPE!!!!year2000.com This is one of the sites I check on a daily basis. I'm especially interested what major banks/research firms like Merill & Lynch, Gartner, Deutsche Morgan etc. says about the subject. Start following it so you be aware of about what's going on. It will save you a lot of money only by knowing what's going on. Remember, maximum estimated total cost (at this moment) about $4 trillion (Gartnet Group). The asian-flue is about tens of billions per country, about hundreds of billions over all. This is about thousands of billions, so far. Sorry for be so obsessed. But again, for the first I'm 100% sure. The question is not if, but when. I'm not pushing Y2k-stocks. They are the only sector where the Y2k-news is in the stock. Money is to be made or lost on the downside. Stock are at historic heights still exclu- ding the Y2k-news. Without any doubt these stocks will trade sooner or later including Y2k-news. Draw your own conclusion what the difference will be. Have a nice weekend, and again, no single bad word about Dell. Paul
