Penni, very interesting. Those were the halcyion days. With the recent topics though, it is clear that you are no longer homemaker newbies. You may be losing the Martha audience. Maybe consider a little punchier target. No Beardstown Ladies kind of thing. Go for a harder, X-generation kind of thing. Possibly consider getting a forward from Jerry Springer. Or maybe even a recipe or two from some one like Monica Lewinsky. Knee Pads Salad Dressing, Big Creep touffe‚. Or maybe Paula Jones Quick Bread. Sort of a social commentary cookbook.
