If you don't know how the market works, get out as soon
as possible. That's my sincere advice. Stay at sidelines.
Don't think about long or short. Let me give you
a recent list: FSH, KWIC, SIEB.
FSH went from 50s to 100s (before the spilt).
Lots of OTC stocks can go from single digit to 100
during each small cap mania.
We had quite a few mania for the past few years.
Some do come down. Some never look back.
The trading has nothing to do with the company.
KTEL is just a stock symbol.

ZITL, TSRI, OCCF(10 dollars to 130s), etc. The list
can go on forever.

Thank you... I did the research, but only on a writing pad until I was dared to put it here.

<<Another thing I don't understand is that this stock only has 900,000 shares of float, how can it be traded over 4+ million shares a day?>>

You have a good point... this is a big part of what causes the runnup.
MMs don't have inventory, having ignored the stock for so long, and therefore run away from any buying. The market does work these things out over time.

KTEL watchers have seen them go into new businesses before, I wonder if the LONGS , clearly not worried about the my revenues and earnings warnings, know about he financial problems of the past, they filed for bankruptcy in 1984 after unprofitable ventures into oil exploration and shopping center development.

This is a painful short and should not be attempted by anyone who is not experienced, and able to handle getting in and out fast.
