I listened to the CC yesterday. It's positive. Craig Benson is trying to make CS number one in switching and network management system. They'll also working hard to make CS employees the most satisfied in the network industry. The integration with DEC network division is going very smoothly. They are going to offer low end 10/100 workgroup switches next month, which seems imply that the they'll not acquire NetVantage since Craig specifically said the 10/100 switch will come from internal development. They'll significantly increase international sales. They have a few major contract wins. When asked about current quarter, they said this quarter has been doing well. They are going to do more acquisitions to get innovative technology and to increase channel presence. The have cut some workfore in manufacturing but the production is not decreased, which means more productive and less cost. They believe SPECTRUM is the best in the industry and is at lease five times better than the closest and they think SPECTRUM should have 100% of the market share. They didn't focus on the marketing SPECTRUM before, but now they have dedicated sale force to market SPECTRUM to secure much more market shares than whant they had before. They'll have a series of new products to announce during Inter-op (?) in Las Vegas in May.

Bob Levine had some negative comments on Channel before. But the execs specifically said bob is not coming back. The recent presence of Bob in CS is they have invited him back to help elevate the sale organization at CS because of his 15-year experience in sale. He'll leave in about 3 weeks to his retirement.

Craig said there's no bad feelings between him and Don Reed and they still communicate very frequently. Craig is trying to execute Don's plans more efficiently, one example is the smooth integration of DEC network division. Craig has promoted several people who were brought in by Don and worked for Don to the top senior management team, which indicates he is serious about Don's plans and there's nothing unhappy between Craig and Don.

DEC has to sell 1.5 billion dollars of CS network gears in three years. It's a contract and DEC has to do it one way or the other.

IMO, CS stock is at the solid bottom. CS has a solid balance sheet with no debt and is in a rapid growing industry. It's going to be very rewarding to buy CS at this level.

CJTK,

Good to see you on CS and PAIR threads. I lurk on Pair; although it was a great trading stock for me 4-6 months ago. We ran into each other on the UTI thread where we both bought in at the $12ish range and have seen
good profits subsequently.

Regarding CS; this is obviously buying opportunity and I may buy 2-3K on Monday after I do more extensive DD this weekend. HOWEVER, I do like the chart and the recent, albeit slight, double bottom.

I respect your candor and post your feeling on CS TA or FA.

I like buying in at October, 1992 prices.

Stephen

The road to recovery for this stock will be difficult. A lot of people got burned. Of course there have been companies that recovered from worse shape, so speculatively speaking the potential rewards get higher as the price drops, especially when the company is still the number 4 networker!

ditto...CS, still on my depr. techs. "PSYCLE sm" buy list, with a close stop below recent low, for yet another pop towards the 17+ area, in perhaps 2-3- months...I have had this one, a few times before, similarly, the last year or so, and is definitely worth the shot, technically, in its base...please also read my post # 3249 on the "WFR" thread, for similar ideas, via my concept, and best wishes,

P.S. I was going to say "beam me up" for the coming pot. price rise, but I figure you have heard that a million times, yes ? enjoy,
