Bob,

ATR = Average True Range
VIX = Volatility Index
Binary wave = comprised of many indicators in various states... but represented by either +1 or -1 values for bullish or bearish. The one I use has 4 such indicators including MA, ROC, MACD and Stochastics.

The cumulative one I use adds up the binary waves for the following indicators: % stocks over 200 day ma, 52 week new high/new low, McLellan, A/D, and VGY.

The Adaptive MA is a new one I picked out of Stocks and Commodities mag... I get it every month! This MA seems to adjust more quickly to moves then any of the usual ones...

Get on over to the thread "TA for Beginners" and see what is there. Say hi for me to Chan and David and Jerry and all the regulars... must get over there soon to see what is happening.

Bill
