Daniel, Ravi also had an earlier book I think - about 1981, predicting a big collapse. But had to redo it when no decent crash came.
Meanwhile, on the IPR front, Philip Merryman joined a moral crusade for Qualcomm to cut IPR prices! Woe is me - see Frezza thread. If Ericsson hang on long enough, Janet Reno will have finished her envious/greedy/stupid/damaging/etc power monopoly assault on Microsoft and will turn her beady gaze on MightyQ who are running a pretty good monopoly on cdmaOne. Heck, the power of the USA knows no barriers - I have a monopoly sitting on my own shoulders - I sell my services for extortionate prices.

Janet/Bill and co.should simply publish a schedule of political donations fees list to avoid harrassment and discrimination - a kind of IPR Royalty/License fee. Next time Bill plays golf with Bill, he better understand that Bill expects to find a bill in every hole - it isn't just for fun that you play golf!!

See the Gilder thread and also [which is a long read]:

Cato Institute recently issued MICROSOFT AND THE BROWSER WARS,
another of their generally fine works on current issues.

See cato.org

Hardly surprising that the parasitic clowns in D.C. are using a fictitious issue to

1. Consolidate power

2. Abuse the confidence of their subjects

3. Run another shakedown

That should stir the dog!
