There will be some(maybe all) IBM encoders used, like for digital add insertion. But for digital video transport functions, I'd say it's Divi.

Does this Diamond card have Chromatic on it? Why doesn't it say 2D/3D graphics? It's not a daughter card though..................

Micron Millennia Xi 400

With its 400MHz Pentium II processor, 10GB (nominal) IBM DeskStar hard disk and second-generation DVD drive, the Millennia Xi 400 continues Micron's tradition of building desktop computers that blend good performance with top-flight multimedia features.

The Millennia Xi 400 comes with a 19-inch (18-inch viewable) Hitachi monitor driven by a Diamond Viper V330 AGP graphics adapter with 4MB of SGRAM. The monitor produces sharp images; although this system's video test score was not quite as good as the other 400MHz Pentium IIs we tested, you won't be disappointed. The DVD subsystem includes a Toshiba SD-M1102 drive and a Diamond DVD MPEG/AC3 decoder card that sits in one of the Millennia Xi 400's PCI slots. A pair of Advent AV 390 speakers provides great stereo sound.

You can open this system without tools. The configuration won't be outdated for a long time-but, in case you need it, there's ample expansion room inside (although the inside of the box appears somewhat cluttered with cables). Both of the Millennia Xi 400's ISA slots are filled-a minor shortcoming.

The Millennia Xi 400's WinScore of 219 was second in this group, 14 points behind the Gateway 2000 G6-400. The Gateway 2000 G6-400 has a similar feature set and significantly lower price, and it scored higher on most benchmark tests. But you can't overlook the Millennia's business application performance and multimedia features.
