No Rex, I didn't. I bought this strictly on the recommendation of a friend at DW who was able to get me a 100 shares at the offering of $24. He did try to reach me when the stock hit $70, but I was away spending a much needed day off.

I've been reading tonight, doing some of the due diligence I normally do when I do my own stock picks. BRCM looks like an interesting story.

CNN's MoneyLine gave a few minutes to the IPO this evening. Showed a couple of newly enriched computer nerds jumping up and down in front of the company headquarters yelling "$70 a share" and giving each other high fives. More power to them. CNN pointed out that the company made money in '96, but could not turn a profit for '97. They also note some analysts projected the company to do $100 million dollars in sales this year and already had several major names as customers. Then, to balance the story, reminded everyone of Netscape.

I don't have a "high powered account" at DW either. I referred business to this guy and this was his way of saying thanks. That's gratitude and I appreciate it.
