Hi ya,

I was just waiting for somebody to pull my string or wind up my blabber mouth. No, life is just peaks and valleys, and I've just slid into a valley. I'm kind of bummed out, ya know. It will pass.

CPQ announced earnings the other day. The stock hit 27.5 for a high. I called my broker at about 9:30 that morning to see where the stock was at. He told me the high was 27 and 5/16ths. I told him to put a stop at 26.5. About 10 min. later, I got a phone call. Without asking who was calling, I said, "So it hit the stop I take it?". Yep, it was my broker and it had. So now I (we) no longer own CPQ. I haven't told my wife yet. Probably won't unless she asks. Thankfully, BORL is in the black (finally). Of course its anybody's guess as to how long.

Last night I looked at a few of the stocks I used to own or follow. I've noticed that some of them have bounced back rather nicely. I must have a psychological block about buying stocks when they hit a low. I always think they're going to slide into bankrupcy or something. AND and CLMT were both in the low teens about 3 months ago. Now they're both in the mid twenties. I could just kick myself.

I also asked about an ISP issue over a year ago on one of the threads. Of course being new at the time, I just naturally trusted that whatever answer I got would be dead on advise. The stock was MSPG. At the time I asked the question, the stock was selling for about 9, then slid to a low of about 6. Look it up just in case you're curious. Had I put all of our eggs in one basket just over a year ago, I could have paid off our house, bought a brand new truck, and had money left over to pay the capital gains taxes.

I swear, I just can't win.

I will write more, later

Til then, stay well,

Mike
