Little understood fact about trading volume --

Actual shares changing hands on momentum stocks is generally 20% of the trading volume. This is because of momentum and day traders, MMs having to buy from a seller and sell to a buyer (thus "double counting" the shares in the volume) and MMs selling shares back and forth to each other. At the end of a day with 2 million shares traded, I would say a safe guess is that 400k-800k shares actually traded hands which is to be expected given the sudden interest in the stock, the signficant price increase and the magnitude of the contract. So far, so good in my opinion. I've got no problems with the float count or trading volume. The numbers appear right in line to me.
