Colleagues: Shorts better watch out for a 3-1 split in AMZN. The requested authorization for the extra shares would allow Amazon to split down to the low 30s. Think how many people there are who won't by a $100 stock, but would be more than happy to get a piece of AMZN if it was only $30! Remember, we are not talking about people who do their DD and understand valuation here. We are talking about people who want a hot internet stock and want it under $40. Walter High
