Thanks for posting the article, Dorine. On one level it makes sense that the a new name for the new corporation be considered. As a long term shareholder, I hope they stick with the name 'Compaq.' If they don't, they could still stay close to the original name by going with 'Compact' [q to t], the definition of which is "having parts or units closely packed or joined," which is actually what the Compaq, Tandem, Dec merger is.
