It will be interesting to see what happens to all the brokerage firms' computers when the Dow hits (or crashes into, maybe) 10,000.

If all heck breaks loose with D10k, that will wake up all the analysts/brokers to Y2k, I bet! :-)

Ron... We use to refer to Ralph Acampora as " Ralph I'll Make you Pora". I know Ralph and he has been very hot over the last few years but, he can be wrong and has been many times in the past, hence, the name.
This is my last post on this subject (market conditions). Remember that the mutual fund management game is based on performance. Most are up over 15% on the year. In the past, people would kill to get 15%. If any little cloud appears or you give them any reason to stop buying, look out. They will all rush to protect their 15%. Remember, their jobs depend on performance, and given a reason, they will act. At that time they do not care if earnings are good or that they might receive a new contract, they sell to nail down profits so that they don't fall behind everyone else.
