Morning Del,
Although I was never invited to a party at O'Hare's home and thus never had the chance to go, I'm sure I would have, and I have hugged trees and found it to be a very positive experience overall. I love full moons and my cat is black. My spirit soars when I sing Te Deums and I am moved by 2 Cor.13.
I would draw the line at deserting my family and running off with another man because this would not be a good thing. For Christians or Atheists---though I'm sure we can find examples of both who have done it and others who haven't.

I understand WHY you argue as you do. I believe, however, the broader picture is that Hitler and Nazism is no more a product of true Christianity than it is of atheism. In my view you are doing exactly the same thing that you say the other "side" is doing. Blaming one or the other misses the whole point--which is that behavior comes down to individual choices and interpretations. We are each responsible for our own life--and we have the choice to lead it with love and tolerance and compassion and integrity or we can let ourselves be guided by fear and hate, within whatever belief structure we choose to be our truth.
I really, really hate labels.

You have the wrong fantasy, Del. I will argue with Christians AFTER the honeymoon, but the honeymoon itself involves copious quantities of mead (an old tradition), a soft bed of pine needles, and the open sky with the full moon--for about two minutes, until I remember I don't enjoy camping!!!
