I only made 3 option trades last year, so it was simple for me, but I noticed on my brokerage statements from Schwab that my option trades had a huge notice at the beginning to the effect that Schwab did not notify the IRS of my option trades.<< yes its a loop hole, they dont report it since the IRS dont consider it as a capital expense so you have to show it to them as such to take losses and gains. Other wise if you ever get auditted watch out, not only will you end up paying 10 times what you should have but they also make your life misserable.
