Iqbalji, what is your opinion on ASND

Recently you predicted ASND to reach 42 and it is there.
Any further ascend from here. Ever since this company has
reported better than expected, it is getting excellent media coverage and appears to be winning the hearts of the big boys .

It has strongly resisted the 40 options and closed above 42+.
The company kept releasing important contracts nearly on a daily
basis. Last week it was one of the Barrons picks. Several houses
have raised it to "buy" in the last week and people say a few more are coming out, especially by Merrill.

Wonder what is your opinion on this gem as it is breaking loose lately.

Regards,

Narotham Reddy

IQ,..Re:<<but ASEA keep an eye continued weakness below the critical levels over a week or so will not be tolerated by global markets.>>

Dear IQ, I have been reading your posts regularly and appreciate very much the time and thought you provide to help keep all informed especially on a global scale. Thank you very much for your continued analysis. In your remark above, I agree completely, but I also think that heavier weights must be given to the Nikei. For this reason, and because of the stumbling effort to re-prime the eco pump there, I see our interest rates range bound for some months as has been the case from the start of '98.

In view of this scenario, I am looking to sell June bond calls just above the range of 123 and close out on any dip.

The bond has been reacting primarily to prices paid components of the NAPM and wages component of the monthly jobless figures more than to the number of new jobs. I think since Industrial production has not slowed that these parameters will continue to show strength; therefore, keeping a lid on the 124 June bond price.

Finally, given the strength in the UK and German economies, these debt offerings will provide increasing competition for US debt in the coming months, especially if the lb sterling continues in it's lofty range. Do you see this scenario the same?

TIA & Regards,

Lee
