Dear Margaret,

Speadking of Cisco's recommendation last night on the WWW, I just saw this little publication on the web which mentioned Cisco:

WHAT'S THE BUZZ?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Although it has been the topic of discussion since 1996, it appears that major developments within the Internet2 framework are now official. On Tuesday, US Vice-President Al Gore unveiled a plan that involved about $500 million in funding from private investment for the new network that is expected to operate with double the bandwidth of the present Internet. Three companies, Qwest Communications International, Cisco Systems, and Northern Telecom are fronting the money for the improvements that will be facilitated by some of the top researchers in the field and operated exclusively at universities. In comparison to the kilobites and megabits per second that connectivity is presently measured by, Internet2 is purported to translate information at speeds of a much higher magnitude. The term whimsically used to describe the relative difference in speeds on
Tuesday was LOC's per second, or Library of Congress per second. While this type of thinking does set high standards to achieve, the reality is expected to be far from the LOC model, yet noticeably faster. Internet2 will not be available immediately to the public, but technology and applications developed on the university system are expected eventually to help speed up the global Internet.
Warm Regards
Frank
Margaret. No, you did not spoil my party. gg. It's the first time I have been on the cpt all weekend. My son and grand-kids took over. gg. And I was gone most of Saturday. I did not watch WSW until Sat. morning. And it was one of the 2 Italien guys. gg. R.Acamporo. The other is Joe B. And yes, they did discuss LLY on the show. I told Sonki that the other possible use of LlY's Evista drug is for the heart. But I did say I would have to check again. It's for cancer. Mentioned prev. was breast cancer.
And R.A. mentioned again that he thought that the market would go over 10.000. I think they said on that show, or somewhere else, that the Dow should go to 15.000 within 7 years. Hm, that sounds pretty conservative unless there are a cpl years of drought coming up in the market.
Wow, everybody was busy posting over the weekend. It may take me until tomorrow to answer all the posts. gg. Private Message is also so busy lately.
Hm, 200 dollars at the commissary. I guess you did a lot of shopping for goodies for Gretchen. A cpl more hours and our home will quieten down again. The kids were here since Friday. I may just watch a movie tonight and relax.
