Maurice - Did you mean to say "Down Under but not out" rather than "Down but not out"? Can't see why you are "Down" at all - with the QCOM at 33 a distant fear. Ok - so a little concession on the Political Monopoly front - but this just makes way for the appearance of more reasonable rants in the future.

Ramsey, curious, did you decide to fill back up on Q yet? I saw you musing about the possibility pre earnings a few days ago.

I decided to roll the dice. On the theory that the Valley can now be looked over, not the theory that we've crossed it yet. Unlike Japan, Korean problems seem to be being addressed. I'm sure the worst pain for the real economy and the avg. citizen there is yet to come, but it also looks like the demand for digital cellular remains strong. It looks like exporters such as Samsung are gonna find financing for some of the stuff that makes sense, such as phones.

What are your thoughts?

BTW, do you read Chinese? (I suppose I mean Mandarin, or the government version of it.)

Doug

Ramsey,

Europe has already abandoned all stupid subjects like human rights as part of their relationship with China.

I can't believe how you can say this.

I think human rights must always be on agenda when dealing with thugs, even when the thugs claim to be reforming their ways. As long as improvement in human rights is a reluctant consession to the west, there is a problem.

It's when they recognize that they are doing themselves a favor by improving human rights, you can remove human rights from the agenda.
