The primary reason for my post regarding the article that you referenced was not to question the qualifications of the author, the data he referenced, or the validity of his point. Rather, I wanted to set forth my reaction to the article for a point of discussion. Essentially, my initial reaction to the article was "blow it off, it's just another bad news bear spewing doom and gloom."

Over the last few years, I've heard many, many bears claiming that the market is overvalued and the bull market is over. During that time, the value of stocks, as defined by market indices, have increased several fold. Obviously, those individuals were dead wrong.

Perhaps I'm getting so used to the Bad News Bears' doom and gloom that it is simply becoming a drone in the background; a drone that my consciousness eliminates as "white noise." Perhaps the Bad News Bears' message just isn't getting through to me any more. Perhaps I'm not alone; i.e., the message isn't getting through to the great majority of investors.

Do you think that is the case? If so, do you think there are implications to the phenomenon?

Best wishes,

I2
