SystemSoft burned their bridges with Intel.

So, Intel invested in ServiceSoft in retaliation. SystemSoft won't be getting any more help from Intel.

I agree that the merger is good for SystemSoft. AMI has been left for dead and can't even go public an incredible IPO market, so SystemSoft is the only remaining check on unbridled power. The big companies have already shown Phoenix that they have no leverage, but the 2nd and 3rd tier PC vendors can't afford their own programming staff.

Nevertheless, SystemSoft will continue switching over to SystemWizard because they don't have the volume to compete against Phoenix. They already lost a lot of market share to Award and that can only continue after the merger.
