Hi Don and All,

It seems that the agenda of the politicians is to use big money making corporations such as Philip Morris, Microsoft, Intel to fund government spending projects and to pay for the national debt. Trying to curb smoking with the younger generation and the wide spread publication of this is causing the opposite to happen. Nobody wants to be told what to do especially the younger generation. We are seeing an increase in smoking now probably because of of all the anti smoking advertising. I do not advocate that people should smoke as this is a personal choice but why is there no campaign against alcohol or taking pharmaceuticals? If you look at it there are so many things that can be harmful but there seems to be the usual targeted companies that are constantly under fire. Much of this is diversionary and aimed at getting voters. Do you think that the politicians really care who smokes? Money talks and BS walks. You cannot dismiss a stock which yields 4%. Although I do not recommend MO as a core holding, I certainly believe that it should be in every portfolio.

Have a good weekend
Frank Morris
