Ken, thanks for the site. Very interesting. What did you think of the current article there? I've got to disagree a bit with the author's take on the content provider (Seinfeld producers) vs. I-net host (TV network) analogy. It's far too early to be linking the infancy of the internet world with the much more mature world of television. Yes, it's true that Jerry and Co. make the money now and that NBC rides his coattails, but at the dawn of the TV age in the 1940's, the situation was markedly different. The medium was expanding explosively because of fantastic demographic and economic conditions (boomer babies and post-war parents with bucks) and the talent was easy to find and hungry to be famous like Uncle Miltie. In short, the reverse of TV today. Until the content providers PROVE THE LOYALTY OF THEIR AUDIENCES, the hosts will grow like young leopards and the advertisers will scramble to keep up with the pace of development in the medium by throwing money at the hosts and by counting their newly found sales receipts from their ONLINE SALES DIVISION (a la Dell).

What do you think?

Cheers,
Rob
