Donald, for downside protection on my long portfolio, I request your, and anybody else's opinion. I was thinking of buying a OEX put 20% out of the money. The May 440 is $7/16 and the June is $1 5/8. Because it is for insurance and not speculative trading, it makes sense to me to buy the near term for $7/16.
The 10% OTM, OEX May 490 Put for $1 7/16 looks like a nice balance for insurance and satisfies the speculative side of me, ggggggg.

Still Friends, I hope. Thanks in advance.
