Please let me know when he (she) comes back so I can bookmark his (her) stuff. Seems like we all should be following his (her) comments.

Thanks,

According to the e-mail I got, Dave said that an assistant had started the threads and was posting the vitriolic posts...So unless Dave is a brilliant criminal, it appears highly likely that Dave did indeed let his assistant do the dirty work.

Hold on here...

If memory serves, just about every other post from "Dave" urged people to "Call me at [number]". I can just hear the conversations...

"Hello Dave? You said to call you so I'm calling you."

"Uh, what? I said what?"

"On SI... Silicon Investor. You said call you about UNSC."

"Oh. OK. But, please, refresh my memory. What exactly did I say on Silicon Valley?"

"You called Tastes Like Chicken a liar and threatened to sue him."

"Huh??? I insulted a bird?! You know self-heating chicken is one of our big sellers."

etc.

Well, on second thought... (gg)

- Jeff

Ah, now that is a fowl with class

This all reminds me of the time a humble SI garden fruit/vegetable was attacked by a tout; #reply-1178048 ... story actually begins with post 227; #reply-1173228 ... very amusing, and educational too

Said tout later claimed to have been imposted, i.e. that it wasn't the real tout. Well, some internet sleuthing by another SIer seemed to indicate that the tout of the tiff was tout tout, i.e. the real thing.
